At Riverside Community Church we are a place where everyone belongs and many believe, and that means working to keep it a safe place for everyone. Sometimes that means having important conversations about critical moments and interactions that we have had. However, it may not always be clear who to reach out to in order to have those conversations.
To address that, Riverside Community Church has established a Safe Disclosure Team. This team is made up of trustworthy people who are not in leadership positions at Riverside. If you reach out to them they will explain the process of Safe Disclosure, what the next steps are, and will guide you through ensuring that your voice is heard by people who can act on what you have to share. Everything you share is strictly confidential, and will never be shared without your consent.
God is on the side of justice and truth so we are as well. While we hope that everyone is treated at all times with love and care, we recognize that there is wisdom in having a clear place to reach out for help if you feel like you don't know where to go.
One final note, you may choose to send an anonymous note here on this page, and that is okay, but we will not be able to investigate anything reported anonymously. Feel free to reach out anonymously if you wish, but we want to make sure that you are aware that the Safe Disclosure Team will ask for your contact information so that we can do the best we can with what is shared.
